Terms and Conditions

These terms cover the use of Photo Express and the purchase of files through it. Buying a photo means you accept them.

What the service is

Photo Express measures a photograph you supply against the published requirements of the document you choose, shows you the result, and — if every hard requirement is met and you choose to buy — produces a correctly sized digital file, with an optional printable sheet.

What we promise

• The figures on each document page are taken from the authority that issues the document, with the source and the date we checked it shown on the page. We do not publish a document we have not verified.
• You see the finished crop, and every measured requirement, before you pay.
• The delivered file matches the preview you approved: same crop, at the document’s required print size and resolution.

What we do not promise

Acceptance of any photograph is decided by the issuing authority, not by us. Our measurements are made against the published figures, but an office can reject a photograph for reasons no software can measure. If that happens, see Returns and Refunds — we treat rejections seriously and want to know about every one.

Your responsibilities

• Supply a photograph you have the right to use, of the person the document is for.
• Check the preview before buying — it is exactly what you will receive.
• Download your files promptly; they are deleted 14 days after the job is created.

Fair use

The free checker is for preparing genuine document photographs. Automated or bulk use of the purchase endpoints is not permitted.

Liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the price paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing in them reduces the consumer rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
