Photo Express is a passport photo service built around one idea: you should be able to see the requirements, and see your photograph measured against them, before you pay anybody anything.

Why the figures are cited

Most passport photo sites tell you the size of the photo. Fewer tell you where that number came from, and fewer still tell you when they last checked it. Requirements change, and a service working from a figure it copied years ago will crop your photograph confidently and wrongly.

So every document page here shows the authority we read the requirements from, and the date we read them. If a document is not on the site, it is because nobody has verified it yet. That is a slower way to build a catalogue and we think it is the only defensible one.

Why the check runs on your device

Measuring a photograph does not require us to have a copy of it, so we do not take one. Your browser does the work, and your photograph is uploaded only when you decide to buy. It means you can test as many photographs as you like at no cost and no exposure.

What we do not claim

This is a new business. We have no customer reviews, no press coverage and no acceptance statistics, so you will not find any of those invented on these pages. What we offer instead is checkable: the figures, their sources, the date they were verified, and a refund if a measurement we made turns out to be wrong.

Who runs it

Photo Express is operated by a small independent team. For anything at all — a question, a problem with an order, or a document you would like us to add — write to the address below and a person will read it.
